How to Permanently Delete Your Samsung Account

Last reviewed: October 2026 · Independent guide, not affiliated with Samsung

A Samsung account is used for Galaxy features such as Samsung Cloud, Find My Mobile (SmartThings Find), Samsung Wallet, Galaxy Store and SmartThings. Deleting it removes the data stored with those services.

Remove the account from every phone, tablet and watch first — reactivation lock can stop a device from being set up again if it is still linked.

At a glance

  • Time required: About 10 minutes

Before you delete

How to delete your Samsung account

  1. On a computer, go to account.samsung.com and sign in.
  2. Open Profile (or Account / Security) and find Delete account at the bottom.
  3. Read the consequences, tick the agreement boxes and click Delete.
  4. Enter your password to confirm.
  5. On a Galaxy phone you can also go to Settings > your name > Sign out first, then delete on the website.

Menus change often. If a button has moved, use the search box in the app's settings or the official help link above.

Sign out vs delete

Signing out on a phone only removes the account from that device. Deleting on account.samsung.com removes the account and its data entirely.
