How to Delete Google Maps Search and Location History in 2025

Delete Maps Search History

  1. Open Google Maps and tap your profile picture, then select Settings.

  2. Tap Maps history to view your search and navigation history.

  3. Tap the three dots menu in the top-right and select Delete activity by.

  4. Select All time and tap Next, then Delete to clear your search history.

Delete Location Timeline History

  1. In Google Maps, tap your profile picture and select Your Timeline.

  2. Tap the three dots menu and select Settings and privacy.

  3. Under Location History, tap Delete all Location History.

Turn Off Future Tracking

  1. Go to myaccount.google.com and click Data & privacy.
