How to Delete a Page in Microsoft Word in 2025

Remove unwanted blank or content pages in Word. Use shortcuts or adjust paragraph marks to delete any page in your document.

Before you begin

Steps

  1. To delete any page: press Ctrl+G (or Option+Command+G on Mac), type \page into the Go To box and press Enter.

  2. Close the dialog, make sure the page content is selected and press Delete to remove it.

  3. To remove a blank page at the end: press Ctrl+Shift+8 to show paragraph marks, select the last paragraph mark and reduce its font size to 1 pt until the page disappears.
