How to Delete Your Cash App Account in 2025

Step-by-step instructions to close your Cash App account and ensure funds, stocks or Bitcoin are properly transferred out first.

Before you begin

  • Time required: ~10 minutes
  • Data loss: Your Cash App account, $Cashtag and transaction history will be removed; transfer funds and sell investments first
  • Grace period: No grace period – account closure takes effect immediately after confirmation

Steps

  1. Open Cash App and tap your profile icon on the home screen.

  2. Scroll down and select Support, then choose Something Else.
